Friends of Texas Wildlife Donation Match
Our team here at The Woodlands Heating & AC is committing to match donations to the Friends of Texas Wildlife dollar for dollar up to $5000 this month! This group is raising money for a new Rehab and Ambassador Raptors facility, and they’re halfway to the $25k goal. We’re partnering with their incredible team of volunteers to help them build a space for their educational raptors to live and make room for incoming birds that are in need of rehabilitation. What They Do
Friends of Texas Wildlife is the only wildlife rescue group that has rehabbers permitted by both the U.S. Fish & Wildlife department and the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department in Montgomery County. The organization is entirely dependent on donations, memberships, and sponsorships in order to care for the thousands of animals they receive on a yearly basis. These animals arrive malnourished, sick, or morbidly injured, and our team provides 24 hour care all year round.
In addition to the rehabilitation work that they do, Friends of Texas Wildlife has a visitors center where they educate the community through awareness programs, summer camps, birthday parties, and more! Their educational outreach programs have extended to the Woodlands Children’s Museum, school programs, and media outlets in order to raise community awareness about wildlife issues. The visitor’s center is open on the second Saturday of every month from 10-2pm to go meet the animals, learn about them, make crafts, and more! The $5 fee goes to support their mission and animals.
